Accomplishments
For 25 years, innovation and active participation in the sulfur processing industry have been the foundation of Nasato Consulting Ltd. Under the leadership of President Elmo Nasato, the company has earned a reputation for delivering practical engineering solutions while contributing to the advancement of sulfur recovery technology worldwide.
Elmo currently serves on the Board of Directors of Alberta Sulphur Research Ltd. (ASRL) and Technical Advisory Committee for the Laurence Reid Gas Conditioning Conference. He is also the co-founder and co-owner of The Brimstone Group, and co-owner and co-chair of the Brimstone Sulfur Symposium, one of the industry’s premier forums for sulfur recovery professionals.
Throughout his career, Elmo has been awarded eight patents related to sulfur recovery and unit operation, oxygen enrichment, and sulfur degassing technologies. He has authored more than 40 technical papers and delivered over 75 presentations at conferences around the world. He has also served as a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto and is a current sessional instructor at the University of Waterloo.
